We were commissioned by the Fisher Island Community Association to produce a private showing to kick off Art Basel in Miami. We were able to draw together half a dozen of the world’s top 3D designers to submit works, and presented them on museum display screens in the famous Fisher Island Club.

DESIGN NOTES
In order to achieve realism in complex flowering plants, a great amount of craft has to be brought into the harmonious positioning, joining, and growth of different parts of each organism. Their soothing effect demands even more precision.
We’re quite used to the idea of flowers and grasses bending in the wind; one of the unique features of 3D is the ability to reimagine things in a subtly surreal manner. And so we explored the possibility of plants becoming the wind itself.

INFORMATION
To a technical eye, these pieces are extremely challenging. To start, there are thousands of nodes required. There are also subtle marks of quality; in many commercial pieces, fine details intersect each other since the human eye can barely detect it. These imperfections have been eliminated at great effort from these fine art pieces.
